The New Basic [Velvet] Tee

A New Year, a new twist to the basic tee.

Embrace the New Year with a cropped, velvet tee. It's comfortable, fun, and perfect for your everyday wardrobe. It's a such a basic tee in my closet and so easy to throw on (especially for those days when you want to feel comfortable but still stylish). Velvet is fabric making a huge comeback from the past. It's such an interesting material and definitely unique to bring into every day casual wear.

In this look, I kept "comfortable" in mind and paired my basic velvet tee with an oversized printed cardigan. Pairing cropped and oversized pieces are always a nice contrast and highlight each other well. I kept it simple but edgy with black American Eagle jeggings and tall black, wedged boots.
